1. How we verify employers
1.1 Business employers (companies, agencies, organisations)
At sign-up, we ask for:
- Company name and trading name
- Trade licence or equivalent registration reference (UK Companies House, US EIN, UAE trade licence, Singapore ACRA, Philippine SEC/DTI, and so on)
- Company address and country of registration
- The identity of the person creating the account and their relationship to the company
At launch, employer accounts receive a verified tick automatically. A document-upload verification flow — where you submit your trade licence and tax ID for our team to check against the public register — is being rolled out post-launch. Once deployed, business employers who complete document verification will show a stronger "Verified employer" badge, and candidates will be able to filter by it.
1.2 Household / individual employers
Individual employers hiring domestic staff (nannies, drivers, housekeepers, caregivers, cooks) provide their government ID and household address. This is a lighter check than the business flow, appropriate for individuals rather than companies.
1.3 Licensed Partner Agencies
FindCV does not deploy workers ourselves. When a new deployment from the Philippines runs, a licensed Philippine Recruitment Agency (PRA) handles the actual hiring — contract processing, medical, government exit clearance, visa. When an in-country hire runs (for example a domestic worker transfer inside the UAE), a licensed Tadbeer centre or equivalent local agency does the paperwork.
Every Licensed Partner Agency is required to demonstrate a valid, current licence in its jurisdiction before we route deployment leads to it. We check the public regulator's licensed-agency register — for the Philippines that is dmw.gov.ph — before onboarding a partner and periodically thereafter.
2. How we verify jobseekers
2.1 Basic identity
Every jobseeker registers with an email, and can sign in with Google Single Sign-On to reduce the risk of impersonation. We require a real name, contact number and country of residence.
2.2 Verified badge (optional, $9.99)
Jobseekers can choose to pay a one-time US$ 9.99 verification fee. In return our team:
- Checks government-issued photo ID (passport or national ID)
- Validates education certificates and work-history documents where provided
- Contacts references
- Reviews the profile against a manual checklist
Verified profiles get a badge, priority in employer searches, direct messaging with employers, multiple CV uploads, and profile insights. Verification is optional. A 30-day money-back guarantee applies — see the Contact form if you are not satisfied.
We do not treat non-verified jobseekers as suspicious. Verification is a signal, not a gate.
3. How we moderate job posts
- Employer accounts are checked before their first job goes live — see Section 1.
- Job posts are scanned automatically for the patterns of illegal recruitment: upfront-fee demands, tourist-visa deployment, WhatsApp-only contact, off-platform payment requests, unrealistic salaries. Posts that trip a flag are held for our team to review before publication.
- Personal contact details in candidate ↔ employer messages are automatically scrubbed until a genuine offer is made through the platform. This exists to stop recruiters moving conversations to WhatsApp, Messenger or Telegram, which is where most OFW scams happen.
- Every job post carries a Report button. Anyone can flag a post they think is illegal or misleading — see Section 7.
4. What we prohibit
The following conduct results in immediate removal and a permanent ban from the Platform. It is also a breach of our Terms and Conditions Section 10 (Acceptable Use), which is the enforceable version of this list.
- Charging jobseekers any fee to be placed, to be verified beyond our own $9.99 verification, to be "expedited," or to secure a specific offer.
- Demanding payment off-platform — GCash to a personal number, personal bank transfer, cash on arrival — for any part of the hiring process.
- Requesting or holding passports or other identity documents from a hired worker beyond what the destination-country's labour authority requires.
- Contract substitution — offering one contract on paper and a different (worse) one on arrival.
- Tourist-visa deployment — recruiting a candidate to travel on a tourist visa and "regularise on arrival." This is illegal under Philippine law.
- Discrimination that violates the destination country's employment law or Philippine anti-discrimination provisions.
- Impersonation — creating an account under a false company name, a fake individual identity, or by copying another agency's branding.
- Off-platform contact — asking a candidate to move to WhatsApp, Messenger or Telegram before a genuine offer has been made through FindCV.
5. Red flags for jobseekers
Even with everything above in place, no platform is foolproof. Watch out for these on FindCV, and on any other job platform.
The 8 patterns below are the ones we see most often in OFW recruitment fraud. If you spot any of them on FindCV — or anywhere else — treat it as a warning.
6. Red flags for employers
If you are hiring on FindCV, watch out for these on the candidate side.
Fraud runs in both directions. The 7 patterns below are the ones we most often see from candidates or third parties impersonating candidates.
7. Report a concern
You do not have to be a FindCV account holder to report. Anonymous reports are welcome.
- In-app: every profile, job post and message thread has a Report button.
- Contact form: submit a report via the Contact form — pick "Trust & Safety" as the reason. Attach evidence (screenshots, message logs, payment demands).
- By post: Trust & Safety Team, FindCV Ltd, 20 Wenlock Road, London, United Kingdom, N1 7GU.
If you are in immediate danger, contact the emergency numbers in Section 10 first, then FindCV.
8. What happens after you report
We commit publicly to the following response times and enforcement pattern:
You will receive confirmation your report has been received and is queued for review — every report, no exceptions.
Standard reports are reviewed by our Trust & Safety team within five working days. Complex cases may take longer — you'll be told if so.
Suspension of the reported account pending review — for reports involving passport-holding, physical safety, contract substitution on arrival, or trafficking indicators.
Business details are added to our internal blocklist to prevent re-registration — company numbers, individual IDs, payment fingerprints.
Where the conduct appears to violate Philippine law or the destination country's labour code — and with your consent — we refer the case to DMW, the Philippine embassy, or the destination-country labour authority.
Every report gets an outcome message (action taken, no action + reason, or referred to authorities). Jobseekers who report an employer cannot be penalised, hidden from search, or downgraded on the platform.
9. Your data
We handle your personal data under UK data protection law (UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018). Filipino jobseekers also have rights under the Philippine Data Privacy Act 2012 (RA 10173).
- We are the data controller — FindCV Ltd, registered in England and Wales under company number 16058967.
- We are ICO-registered in the UK and pay the annual data protection fee.
- We use appropriate UK International Data Transfer Agreements (IDTA) and Transfer Risk Assessments when your data flows outside the UK.
- You have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to how we use your data — and to complain to a data protection authority.
For everything else, read our full Privacy Policy — Section 8 covers your rights in detail, and Section 5 covers international transfers.
10. Emergency contacts
10.1 Philippines
10.2 UAE
10.3 Saudi Arabia
10.4 Qatar
10.6 Singapore
10.7 Kuwait, Bahrain, Oman
11. Your rights
You have rights under Philippine law and (usually) under the destination country's labour code. Below is a starting-point summary — for anything specific, ask a Migrant Workers Office (MWO) representative in your destination country on arrival, or contact FindCV via the Contact form.
12. Community standards
The community standards below apply to all Users. They are enforced through the Terms and Conditions Section 10 (Acceptable Use) — this section is the public-facing statement of what we expect.
- Be honest. Real identity, real qualifications, real photos, real job.
- No fees to jobseekers. For anything.
- No discrimination in job posts beyond what is lawful in the destination country. Where the law of the destination country would require, for example, a gender-specific hire for a legitimate reason (household roles are the common example) — the reason must be a bona fide occupational requirement, not a preference.
- No off-platform contact before an offer. Protects both sides.
- Treat everyone with respect. Abusive messages, harassment or intimidation lead to a ban.
- Respect the law of the destination country — you as an employer, we as a platform, and licensed partner agencies as deployment operators.
13. Transparency
We will publish an annual Trust & Safety report starting one year after launch. It will include:
- Total reports received, broken out by category — fee demands, ghost employers, passport-holding, contract substitution, harassment, other.
- Actions taken — accounts banned, posts removed, cases referred to authorities.
- Median response time.
- What we changed based on what we learned.
Until we have data to publish, we will not publish placeholders.
14. External resources
Government and NGO resources jobseekers and employers can use directly.
