FindCV

Terms & Conditions

The legal agreement that governs your use of FindCV — the recruitment marketplace connecting Filipino talent with global employers across 39 destination markets.

Effective from July 27, 2026
Version 1.0
Governed by the laws of England & Wales

1. About us

1.1 These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") form a legal agreement between you and FindCV Ltd, a private limited company registered in England and Wales under company number 16058967, with its registered office at 20 Wenlock Road, London, United Kingdom, N1 7GU ("FindCV", "we", "us", or "our").

1.2 You can contact us:

1.3 FindCV operates the website www.findcv.com and any associated mobile applications (together, the "Platform"), a two-sided recruitment marketplace connecting Filipino jobseekers with global employers across 39 destination markets.

2. Acceptance of these Terms

2.1 By registering for an account, subscribing to a paid tier, uploading a CV, posting a job, or otherwise using the Platform, you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to be bound by these Terms.

2.2 If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must not use the Platform.

2.3 We may update these Terms from time to time. Where changes are material, we will notify you by email (at the address you registered) and by a prominent notice on the Platform at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Continued use after the effective date is deemed acceptance. If you do not accept the changes you may close your account before they take effect.

3. Definitions

For the purposes of these Terms:

"Business Employer"
A company, agency, or other organisational entity subscribing to hire staff for its business.
"Business Terms"
The Business Employer subscription terms in Section 8.
"Content"
Any text, files, photos, video, audio, CV, job description or other material uploaded, submitted or otherwise made available on the Platform.
"Household Employer"
An individual subscribing to hire domestic staff (for example a nanny, driver, caregiver, housekeeper or cook) for their own household. Household Employers may be treated as consumers under UK consumer law.
"Jobseeker"
A person who has registered on the Platform to be considered for employment opportunities. Jobseekers must be Filipino nationals.
"Licensed Partner Agency"
A licensed recruitment agency, Tadbeer centre or equivalent operator that carries out the actual deployment, contracting and regulatory paperwork for a hire.
"Services"
Everything the Platform makes available to you, including account registration, profile hosting, job posting, candidate search, messaging and subscription billing.
"Subscription"
A paid recurring plan purchased on the Platform (see Section 8).
"User"
Any person using the Platform, whether as a Jobseeker or Employer.

4. Eligibility

4.1 You may only use the Platform if you are aged 18 or over and have the legal capacity to enter into a contract.

4.2 As a Jobseeker, you must be a Filipino national. The Platform is designed around Philippine recruitment flows and Filipino-worker documentation; non-Filipino jobseekers will not receive value from the Services.

4.3 As an Employer, you may hire from anywhere in the world across our 39 destination markets, provided the roles you post are lawful in the destination country.

4.4 You must provide accurate registration information. We may refuse or terminate any account we reasonably believe has been created with false information.

5. Your account

5.1 To use most of the Platform you must create an account, either through our sign-up flow (email and password) or via Google Single Sign-On.

5.2 You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access.

5.3 You may not share, sell, rent, transfer or sub-license your account, or use another person's account without their express permission.

5.4 We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms or where required by law — see Section 15.

6. Two-sided marketplace — how the Services work

6.1 FindCV is a technology platform, not a recruitment agency, employer of record, or employment intermediary. We connect Jobseekers and Employers and facilitate introductions. We do not enter into employment contracts, sponsor visas, arrange medical checks, process government exit clearances or deploy workers.

6.2 The actual hire — including contract processing, medical clearance, government paperwork, visa and travel — is handled by a Licensed Partner Agency in the Philippines and/or in the destination country. FindCV takes a commission on completed placements referred via the Platform. Licensed Partner Agencies are independent third parties and are not our employees, agents or partners in the legal sense.

6.3 You are responsible for the hiring decision. As an Employer, you decide who to shortlist, interview and hire. As a Jobseeker, you decide which jobs to apply for and which offers to accept.

6.4 Verification badges and other trust markers displayed on the Platform indicate that we have carried out checks appropriate to the badge type. They are best-efforts indicators, not guarantees of the truthfulness, quality or suitability of any User.

6.5 Household Employers — safeguarding and worker welfare

6.5.1 Enhanced verification. Household Employers hiring a domestic worker (nanny, driver, housekeeper, caregiver, cook) are subject to additional verification designed to protect the worker: government-issued photo ID, proof of home address, and — where the destination country requires it — a sponsor identification document (e.g. UAE Emirates ID, Saudi Iqama, Qatar QID). We may refuse or revoke a Household Employer account where verification cannot be completed or where credible safeguarding concerns arise.

6.5.2 Living and working conditions. If you hire a domestic worker through the Platform, you agree that the working arrangement will comply with the destination country's labour law and any applicable Philippine deployment rules, including but not limited to: a written employment contract in the worker's language of preference, timely payment of the agreed salary, weekly rest days, safe accommodation, retention by the worker of their own passport and identity documents, and no charging of recruitment or placement fees to the worker (in line with Philippine RA 10022 and RA 11641 and ILO Convention 189 principles).

6.5.3 Prohibited practices. The following are grounds for immediate account termination and, where applicable, referral to competent authorities: retaining the worker's passport or ID documents against their will; confining the worker to the household; withholding wages; verbal, physical or sexual abuse; charging the worker any recruitment, transport or accommodation fee; forcing the worker to work outside the agreed job scope.

6.5.4 Reporting concerns. Domestic workers hired via the Platform, or third parties acting on their behalf, may report welfare concerns to us at privacy@findcv.com. Where the concern indicates a criminal offence or an imminent risk to the worker's safety, we may share information with the competent authorities in the destination country and in the Philippines (e.g. DMW, DFA-OUMWA, POLO-MWO), the Licensed Partner Agency involved, or law-enforcement.

6.6 Licensed Partner Agencies — shared responsibility

6.6.1 Licensed Partner Agencies deploying workers to Household Employers are contractually required to conduct their own household inspection or interview before deployment, retain the worker's contract copy, and maintain a welfare-check protocol during the first 3 months of employment.

6.6.2 Nothing in this Section 6.6 makes FindCV liable for the acts, omissions, or welfare-check performance of any Licensed Partner Agency. However, we take agency conduct into account when deciding whether to continue accepting placements from a given agency.

7. Jobseeker-specific terms

7.1 Free to create a profile, free to apply. Creating a Jobseeker account and applying to jobs on the Platform is free.

7.2 Optional paid verification. You may choose to purchase a one-time verification badge for US$ 9.99 (or the local currency equivalent shown at checkout). Verification includes an ID check, document review, and reference contact where provided. Verified profiles receive a badge, priority in employer searches, direct messaging with employers, additional CV uploads, profile insights, and other benefits described at checkout.

7.3 30-day money-back guarantee on verification. If you are not satisfied with the verification service within 30 days of purchase, contact us via the Contact form for a full refund. The refund will be returned to the original payment method.

7.4 No placement fees. FindCV does not, and will never, charge you a fee to be placed in a job. Under Philippine law (Republic Act 10022 and Republic Act 11641), it is illegal to charge Filipino overseas workers placement or recruitment fees for most deployment routes. If any person, agency or employer asks you to pay a fee to secure a job through the Platform, report it via our Contact form with "Trust & Safety" as the reason.

7.5 Your profile content. You are responsible for the accuracy and legality of everything you upload — CV, references, certificates, ID documents, photos and messages. You must not upload false, misleading, defamatory, discriminatory, or unlawful content, nor content that infringes anyone else's intellectual property.

7.6 Nationality declaration. You confirm that you are a Filipino national and that any nationality, birthplace or citizenship information you provide is truthful.

8. Employer-specific terms — subscriptions and billing

8.1 Plans and pricing

Prices are shown in US Dollars and exclude VAT/local taxes unless stated otherwise. Current plans:

Full plan details, current quotas and any changes are shown at /pricing and at checkout.

8.2 Trial period (Phase 1 launch offer)

8.2.1 At launch, paid plans start with a free trial: 30 days for Business Basic and 45 days for Household/Individual Basic. Card details are required at signup for identity verification and to enable automatic billing at the end of the trial period.

8.2.2 During the trial you can use all features included in the plan. You will not be charged during the trial. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, we will automatically bill your card at the plan's rate and continue billing on the recurring cycle you selected (monthly or annual).

8.2.3 You can cancel at any time during the trial from your Billing page or by contacting support@findcv.com. Cancellations effective before the trial ends prevent the first charge.

8.3 Auto-renewal and cancellation

8.3.1 Paid Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period (monthly or annual, as chosen) unless cancelled beforehand.

8.3.2 To cancel: go to Profile → Billing → Subscription and select "Cancel". You may cancel at any time; your paid access continues until the end of the current billing period. You will not be charged for any subsequent period after cancellation.

8.3.3 We do not offer pro-rata refunds for partial billing periods, except where UK consumer law grants that right (see Section 9).

8.4 Payment

8.4.1 Payments are processed by Stripe, a third-party payment service provider. We do not store your full card number on our servers. Stripe's own terms and privacy policy apply to your payment relationship with Stripe.

8.4.2 You authorise us (via Stripe) to charge the card on file for renewals until you cancel.

8.4.3 If a payment fails, we may suspend your paid features until you update your payment details. Repeated failed payments may result in downgrade to the Free plan or termination.

8.5 Price changes

8.5.1 We may change our prices from time to time. We will notify you by email at least 30 days before any price change takes effect. Price changes apply from your next renewal after the notice period. You may cancel before the change takes effect if you do not wish to accept it.

8.6 Invoices and VAT

8.6.1 Invoices are available in your Billing page under "Billing history".

8.6.2 If we become required to charge VAT or other local taxes, these will be added to the price and shown clearly at checkout.

8.7 Contact reveals and quotas

8.7.1 Contact reveals, featured jobs, job posts, and applications-per-job are counted against your plan quota on a monthly basis and reset at the start of each billing period. Unused quota does not carry over.

8.8 Acceptable use of the candidate database

8.8.1 Employer users may access candidate profiles only for genuine recruitment purposes for roles they intend to fill. You must not scrape, harvest, download in bulk, resell or otherwise exploit candidate data outside the intended employer use case.

8.8.2 You must not attempt to circumvent the Platform for off-platform contact until you have made a legitimate offer to a candidate — see Section 10.

8.9 Phased rollout

8.9.1 We are rolling out paid tiers in three phases. Phase 1 (launch) opens Basic-trial only. Phase 2 opens the Free plan as fallback. Phase 3 opens the SME tier. Availability is shown at /pricing at the time of your purchase.

9. Consumer rights (Household / Individual Employers, and Jobseekers)

This Section 9 applies to you if you are an individual buying our Services outside the course of a business — for example, a Household Employer hiring a domestic worker for your own home, or a Jobseeker purchasing verification. Some of these rights are given by the Consumer Rights Act 2015, the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, and other UK consumer protection law. Nothing in these Terms limits your statutory consumer rights.

9.1 14-day cancellation right (cooling-off period)

9.1.1 As a consumer you have the right to cancel your Subscription or verification purchase within 14 days of purchase, without giving any reason. To exercise this right, contact us at support@findcv.com or use the Contact form within the 14-day period.

9.1.2 If you cancel within the 14-day cooling-off period, we will refund all payments received from you within 14 days of receiving your cancellation request, using the same payment method you used.

9.2 Loss of cooling-off right where services have started

9.2.1 If you ask us to start providing the Services during the 14-day cooling-off period (for example, by using the Platform immediately after subscribing or by receiving your verification badge), and we fully perform the Services during that period with your prior express request and acknowledgement, your right to cancel is lost.

9.2.2 If we begin providing the Services during the cooling-off period at your express request but the Services are not fully performed when you cancel, we may charge you a pro-rata amount for the Services actually supplied.

9.3 Service quality

9.3.1 We will perform the Services with reasonable care and skill and within a reasonable time.

9.3.2 If the Services are not carried out with reasonable care and skill or not within a reasonable time, you are entitled to a repeat performance or an appropriate price reduction under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

9.4 Model cancellation form

To cancel within the 14-day cooling-off period, you may (but do not have to) use the following:

"I hereby give notice that I cancel my contract with FindCV Ltd for the following service:

Ordered on: [date]

Name: [name]

Address: [address]

Signed: [signature] (if paper)

Date: [date]"

Send by email to support@findcv.com or by post to 20 Wenlock Road, London, United Kingdom, N1 7GU.

9.5 Complaints and dispute resolution

If you have a complaint, please contact us first at support@findcv.com. We aim to acknowledge complaints within one business day and resolve within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the appropriate consumer body in your country. For UK consumers, you can find impartial guidance from Citizens Advice (citizensadvice.org.uk).

10. Acceptable use — everyone

10.1 You must not:

  • (a) upload false, misleading, defamatory, discriminatory, offensive, obscene or unlawful content;
  • (b) post jobs that violate applicable labour, immigration or anti-discrimination law in any destination country;
  • (c) impersonate another person or entity;
  • (d) circumvent, disable or interfere with any security-related feature of the Platform;
  • (e) scrape, spider, crawl, index or bulk-download any part of the Platform without our written consent;
  • (f) use the Platform to send unsolicited communications, spam or advertising;
  • (g) use the Platform to charge a Jobseeker any fee to secure employment;
  • (h) infringe anyone's intellectual property or privacy rights;
  • (i) attempt to reverse-engineer or derive the source code of the Platform;
  • (j) use bots, scripts or automated tools to interact with the Platform except through officially-published APIs;
  • (k) misrepresent your identity, nationality, employment history or business identity;
  • (l) contact users off-platform (WhatsApp, email, phone) before a genuine offer stage in order to circumvent our tracking or safety mechanisms.

10.2 We may investigate, suspend or terminate accounts we reasonably believe have breached this Section 10 — see Section 15.

11. Content — your grants and your obligations

11.1 You own your Content. You retain all intellectual property rights in Content you upload to the Platform.

11.2 Licence to us. You grant FindCV a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sub-licensable licence to host, store, reproduce, modify (for formatting), display and distribute your Content solely for the purpose of operating and improving the Platform and delivering the Services to you and other Users (for example, showing your CV to prospective Employers). This licence ends when you delete the relevant Content or your account, subject to legal retention obligations (see our Privacy Policy).

11.3 You are responsible for your Content. You confirm that you have all necessary rights to upload the Content and that it does not infringe any third-party rights or applicable law. You indemnify us against any third-party claim arising from your Content (see Section 14).

11.4 Intellectual property in the Platform. All rights in the Platform, including the software, databases, design, wording, logos and branding, are owned by or licensed to FindCV. Nothing in these Terms transfers any of those rights to you.

11.5 Notice of infringement. If you believe Content on the Platform infringes your rights, contact us at support@findcv.com with details. We will respond promptly.

12. Third-party services

12.1 The Platform integrates with third-party services including but not limited to Stripe (payment), Google (single sign-on and analytics), and, when relevant, external CRM, email delivery and hosting providers. Those services have their own terms and privacy notices which govern your relationship with them.

12.2 We are not responsible for the availability, content or practices of third-party services. Where a hire proceeds via a Licensed Partner Agency, your relationship with that agency is governed by their own contract with you.

13. Availability of the Platform

13.1 We aim to keep the Platform available at all times, but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Scheduled maintenance, emergency fixes and factors outside our control may occasionally cause downtime.

13.2 We may modify, suspend or discontinue any part of the Platform. Where a paid feature you rely on is discontinued for more than 14 consecutive days, you may cancel your Subscription with a pro-rata refund for the unused period.

14. Warranties, disclaimers and liability

14.1 What we warrant

14.1.1 We warrant that we will provide the Services with reasonable care and skill, in accordance with UK law and these Terms.

14.2 What we do not warrant

14.2.1 Subject to your consumer rights under Section 9 and applicable law, we do not warrant that:

  • (a) the Platform will be uninterrupted, error-free or completely secure;
  • (b) any information about a User (whether a Jobseeker, Employer or Licensed Partner Agency) is true, complete or up to date;
  • (c) any hire referred through the Platform will result in a successful placement, a lawful contract, a satisfactory working relationship, or any particular outcome;
  • (d) Content uploaded by other Users is accurate, lawful or non-infringing.

14.2.2 The Platform is provided "as is" and "as available" to the maximum extent permitted by law.

14.3 Liability limits

14.3.1 Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes our liability for:

  • (a) death or personal injury caused by our negligence;
  • (b) fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation;
  • (c) any other liability that cannot be limited or excluded under UK law.

14.3.2 Subject to Section 14.3.1, our total liability to you arising out of or in connection with these Terms, the Platform or the Services in any 12-month period will not exceed the greater of (i) the total fees you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or (ii) £100.

14.3.3 Subject to Section 14.3.1, neither we nor you will be liable to the other for any:

  • indirect, special, consequential or economic loss;
  • loss of profits, revenue, business, contracts, opportunities or reputation;
  • loss or corruption of data (except where directly caused by our breach of the Privacy Policy).

14.3.4 The limits in this Section 14.3 apply whether the claim is in contract, tort (including negligence), breach of statutory duty or otherwise.

14.4 Your indemnity to us

14.4.1 You will indemnify and hold FindCV, our directors, officers, employees and contractors harmless from and against any losses, damages, claims, liabilities and reasonable legal costs arising out of or in connection with:

  • (a) your breach of these Terms;
  • (b) your Content;
  • (c) your use of the Platform in violation of law;
  • (d) any employment relationship you enter into as a result of a connection made via the Platform;
  • (e) any claim by a third party (including any Licensed Partner Agency or destination-country authority) relating to the hire, deployment or treatment of a worker introduced via the Platform.

14.4.2 This indemnity does not apply where the loss is caused by our own negligence or wilful default.

15. Suspension and termination

15.1 By you

15.1.1 You may close your account at any time by contacting support@findcv.com with the subject "Delete my account", from your registered email address. We will process the request within 30 days. Some records may be retained after account closure for legal or regulatory reasons (see our Privacy Policy).

15.2 By us

15.2.1 We may suspend or terminate your account, with or without notice, if:

  • (a) we reasonably believe you have breached these Terms, particularly Section 10 (acceptable use);
  • (b) we are required to do so by law, court order or regulator instruction;
  • (c) you have not paid amounts owed to us and have failed to pay within 14 days of a written reminder;
  • (d) providing the Services to you creates unreasonable risk to us, other Users or the public.

15.2.2 Where we suspend or terminate for a breach that is capable of being cured, we will where reasonable give you a chance to cure it first.

15.2.3 Termination does not affect any rights that either party has accrued up to the point of termination.

16. Data protection

16.1 We are the data controller for the personal data you provide to us. Our full Privacy Policy explains what we collect, why, how we share it, how long we keep it and what your rights are. It is available at www.findcv.com/privacy-policy and is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

16.2 If you have questions about how we handle your personal data, contact privacy@findcv.com or, if you are in the Philippines, our Philippine representative (details in the Privacy Policy). You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) — details in the Privacy Policy.

17. Changes to these Terms

17.1 See Section 2.3 for how we notify you of changes.

17.2 The current version and its effective date is always visible at the top of these Terms. Older versions are available on request.

18. Miscellaneous

18.1 Entire agreement. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any documents they reference, form the entire agreement between you and FindCV in relation to your use of the Platform.

18.2 Severability. If any part of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remainder will continue to apply.

18.3 No waiver. A failure by us to enforce any right does not waive that right.

18.4 Assignment. You may not assign your rights or obligations under these Terms. We may assign our rights and obligations to a successor entity (for example on a group re-organisation) provided your rights under these Terms are not affected.

18.5 No third-party rights. Nothing in these Terms confers any right on a person who is not party to it under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999.

18.6 Notices. Notices to us must be sent to support@findcv.com or to our registered office. Notices to you will be sent to the email address on your account.

18.7 Force majeure. Neither party is liable for delay or failure caused by events outside its reasonable control (including cyber-attack, government act, pandemic or natural disaster), provided the affected party takes reasonable steps to mitigate the impact.

19. Governing law and jurisdiction

19.1 These Terms and any dispute arising out of or in connection with them are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

19.2 The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction to hear any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms.

19.3 If you are a consumer resident outside England and Wales, this Section 19 does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of your country of residence.
