How we use cookies
What we store on your device, why we store it, how long it stays there, and how you can change your choices at any time.

Open the preference center to switch categories on or off. Your choices are saved for 12 months and can be updated whenever you like.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small pieces of text that a website stores on your browser so it can remember something about you between page loads or visits. They can be set by us (first-party) or by another service loaded on our pages (third-party). Similar technologies — pixels, tags, local storage, fingerprinting — are covered by this policy too. When we say “cookies” below, we mean all of them.
2. The categories we use
Every cookie on FindCV falls into one of four categories. You can accept or reject each category independently in the preference center.
2.1 Strictly necessary
Cookies required for the site to function — you can’t switch these off. They keep you logged in, remember your language, protect against CSRF attacks, and route requests through our infrastructure.
2.2 Functional
Cookies that remember non-essential choices — your saved job searches, country preference, verification progress. Rejecting these doesn’t break the site but does mean we can’t remember your preferences between visits.
2.3 Analytics
Cookies that tell us how the site is being used — which pages get read, how long people stay, where they drop off. We use this to improve the product. Rejecting these means we won’t measure your visit.
2.4 Marketing
Cookies that let us show FindCV ads to you on other sites and measure whether those ads led to a signup. Rejecting these means you’ll still see ads elsewhere, but not FindCV ads specifically retargeted to you.
3. Every cookie we set — the full list
The table below lists each cookie by name, purpose, third-party recipient (if any), and how long it lasts.
This list is auto-generated by our Consent Management Platform and re-scanned weekly. If a cookie appears on our site that isn’t listed here, it’s a bug — please tell us so we can either declare it or remove it.
4. Changing your mind
You can withdraw or change consent at any time — from the cookie banner when it appears, from the persistent Cookie preferences link in every page footer, or by clicking the button at the top of this page. Withdrawing consent doesn’t affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal.
If you’re a California resident, use the Your Privacy Choices link in our footer to exercise your CCPA/CPRA rights specifically — including “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information”.
5. What happens if you reject everything except necessary
The site keeps working. You can browse jobs, apply, post roles, and pay for premium features. What we lose is the ability to remember your preferences beyond the session, measure how well the site is performing, and personalize marketing outside FindCV. What you lose is convenience — but no core functionality.
6. Third parties we work with
The third parties whose cookies we set are listed in the table above. Each of them has their own privacy policy governing how they process your data once we hand it over:

We do our own diligence on every third party before we integrate them, and we don’t work with providers whose data practices fall short of UK GDPR standards.
7. Legal basis
This policy is governed by:
- The UK Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003 (PECR), Regulation 6, as amended by the Data (Use and Access) Act 2025;
- The UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), particularly Article 4(11) on consent;
- Guidance from the Information Commissioner's Office .(ICO), including its 2025 cookie enforcement strategy.
You can exercise your data protection rights (access, correct, delete, etc.) via our Data Request page. Complaints about our cookie practices can be raised directly with the ICO at ico.org.uk. If you’re a Filipino resident, you can also raise complaints with the National Privacy Commission of the Philippines at privacy.gov.ph. If you’re a California resident, complaints go to the California Privacy Protection Agency (CPPA).
